Privacy Policy

ImageTextLab helps Shopify merchants scan store images, generate accessible alt text, review SEO metadata, and write approved updates back to Shopify.

Data we process

The app processes store domain, app session data, product and media identifiers, image URLs, current alt text, generated alt text, SEO job details, merchant settings, scan status, billing status, and operational logs needed to provide and support the service.

Customer data

ImageTextLab does not request or use protected customer data. The app is focused on product, file, collection, article, page, and image metadata needed for accessibility and SEO workflows.

AI processing

When merchants request generation, relevant image URLs and merchant-provided product or content context may be sent to the configured AI provider to create alt text or SEO metadata. Generated content is shown for merchant review before writeback.

Storage and retention

Operational data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure and retained only as needed to run scans, review generated text, troubleshoot issues, maintain audit history, and meet Shopify app requirements. Merchants may contact support to request deletion of app data related to their store.

Shopify privacy requests

ImageTextLab supports Shopify compliance webhooks for app uninstalls and privacy-related requests. When a store uninstalls the app, app tokens and store-specific operational records are removed or invalidated according to the service workflow.
